AI Data Processing & Disclosure

This AI Data Processing & Disclosure explains how VetlyHealth uses artificial intelligence to process information within the application, what data is used as input to AI features, and what rights you have regarding that processing. This document supplements our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer and should be read alongside them.

2. How We Use Artificial Intelligence

VetlyHealth uses AI to assist pet owners with health tracking, symptom analysis, document processing, and health reporting. Specifically, AI features within the App may:

Respond to health and symptom questions with contextual, informational guidance
Analyze pet health records, medication histories, and veterinary documents
Extract and structure information from photos and uploaded documents, including food labels, vet receipts, and prescription materials
Generate health summaries, trend reports, and vet visit preparation content
Surface breed-relevant health tendencies based on species, breed, and age profile
Produce proactive alerts and reminders based on your pet's recorded history

AI does not make clinical decisions, issue diagnoses, prescribe treatment, or replace the judgment of a licensed veterinarian. All AI outputs are informational. See our Disclaimer for complete details on AI limitations.

3. Proprietary Technology

The specific AI models, providers, orchestration methods, prompt structures, retrieval mechanisms, processing pipelines, and system architecture used to deliver AI-powered features within VetlyHealth are proprietary to Atlas Intelligence Project, LLC and constitute trade secrets protected under applicable intellectual property law. This information is not disclosed to users, third parties, or partners unless expressly agreed in writing.

This is consistent with the protections set forth in Section 5 (Intellectual Property) of our Terms of Service.

4. Data Inputs Used by AI

When you use AI-powered features, the following categories of information you have provided to the App may be processed:

Pet profile data (species, breed, age, weight, known conditions)
Health records, vaccination history, and medication information you have entered or uploaded
Symptom descriptions and health questions you submit
Documents and images you upload for analysis
Interaction context within your current session

AI processing occurs only with your consent, as described in Section 5.1 of our Privacy Policy (Settings > Data & Privacy > AI Processing toggle). VetlyHealth does not incorporate personally identifiable information about you (the owner) into AI health analysis outputs unless you explicitly provide it as part of a query.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

VetlyHealth uses AI models from industry-leading providers to power health analysis features. As noted in Section 3 of our Privacy Policy, all third-party AI service providers are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and do not retain your data for their own purposes, including AI model training. Processing by these providers occurs solely to deliver results to you within the App.

The identities of specific AI service providers are not disclosed as part of this document. A list of subprocessors is available upon request at privacy@atlasintelligence.ai.

6. AI Output Transparency

In compliance with applicable platform requirements, all AI-generated content within VetlyHealth includes:

A confidence score (0.0 to 1.0) indicating the AI's assessed certainty
A medical disclaimer confirming the output is not veterinary advice
Clear labeling that the content is AI-generated
A human-readable explanation of the basis for the analysis

A high confidence score does not guarantee accuracy. See Section 2.2 of our Disclaimer for a full explanation of confidence scores and their limitations.

7. Your Rights Regarding AI Processing

You have the following rights with respect to how your data is processed by AI features within VetlyHealth:

Consent and Withdrawal: You may enable or disable AI processing of your pet's health data at any time through Settings > Data & Privacy > AI Processing. Disabling this toggle stops AI analysis of your data going forward.
Access: You may request a summary of the personal data used in AI features associated with your account. Submit requests to privacy@atlasintelligence.ai.
Correction: You may update or correct pet profile data that informs AI outputs at any time within the App.
Deletion: You may permanently delete your account and all associated data through Settings > Data & Privacy > Delete My Account, which removes all inputs used in AI processing.
Explanation: You may request a general explanation of how a specific AI feature works. We will respond within the bounds of our intellectual property protections described in Section 3 above.

We will respond to all rights requests within 30 days of receipt. For GDPR-specific rights (Articles 17 and 20) and CCPA rights, refer to Sections 5.2 through 5.4 of our Privacy Policy.

8. No Autonomous Decision-Making

VetlyHealth does not use fully autonomous AI decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users without human review. All AI-generated outputs are presented as informational responses. You retain full discretion over any action taken based on AI-generated content.

9. Changes to This Disclosure

We may update this AI Data Processing & Disclosure as our features evolve or as applicable regulations change. Material changes that affect how your data is processed by AI will be communicated through in-app notice or email prior to taking effect. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised disclosure.
